$ENIOLA 01: Finding My Feet

Hey peeps, this is it, my first ever update. A lot has happened over the past four weeks relating to both the $ENIOLA experiment and my personal life. However, I think it is only appropriate to mention the elephant in the room. Chances are you don’t hold any $ENIOLA and one of the benefits of holding the social token was that holder would get updates on my entrepreneurial journey. The same updates that you, who is not a holder is about to read.

So what’s changed?

Simple. Snapshot… A proposal was made to allow those who do not hold my token to see partial updates. The proposal passed, and here we are. I will split up these updates into three parts. Month in Retrospect, Biggest Lessons, What’s Next?

The latter will only be available for $ENIOLA holders. Sorry peeps. Anyways, enough waffling… let’s get right into things.

Month In Retrospect

  • Four proposals were created, voted on and executed (about once a week), with “vlog your valentine’s day” being the most interesting and controversial one.
  • I have continued and am about to reach the end of my diversity and inclusion engagement with UCL via arkisites. Working on such a project has been rewarding and if I am being honest, is currently taking up most of my time.
  • I converted the ETH raised to USDC in an attempt to protect myself from the bear market, that hasn’t gone to plan lol.
  • early.fans launched their discord server and uploaded their first Mirror article. The tech, product and strategy teams have all made significant progress and breakthroughs.
  • early.fans was accepted onto the next AccelerateME cohort, the biggest student accelerator in the United Kingdom.

Biggest Lessons

  • $ENIOLA holders truly want the best for me and early.fans. Some discussions and disagreements have happened on the discord server. However, they have all been in good faith.
  • I have never built in web3 before, I have never fundraised before, I have never built a community on discord before. However, some people that are part of the $ENIOLA experiment that has. I cannot stress the importance of community and engage with the individuals there on a personal level.
  • Yes, I still haven’t done the aforementioned activities before as it relates to project building, but as a result of members of the community, I am no longer building blind.

Final Words…

Upon thinking I guess that this arrangement is kind of cool. Individuals who are not part of the experiment can keep up to date with my journey, and at the same time, I am being held accountable by $ENIOLA holders. In the coming months, it would be nice to stop trying to find my feet and finally land on my feet.
